Please note that OMT is currently under development and my program has recently started displaying only one OMT stream correctly, namely the first one. I am working on a solution
OMT Player for Windows – start setup and receive OMT streams directly with image and sound.
vMix29 has established a fantastic new media transport protocol, OpenMediaTransport (OMT).
This allows media files to be distributed easily within the local network. Unlike NDI, this protocol is license-free. I wish this product a successful launch into the media world.
I have developed a small OMT Player for Windows that allows you to receive OMT streams (video + audio) directly on the network. The application is based on the official libomt SDK (thanks Martin) and uses NAudio for audio playback.
run Setup
Download setup
If no source is found (even though one is running), please check the Windows firewall. For me, it helped to turn off the firewall or create a rule for OMTplay.exe.
Tested with vMix (standard OMT settings) – 1080p50 = approx. 150–170 Mbit/s arrive in the player.
Works perfectly for me, even wirelessly on a WiFi6 network.
This is not mature production software
